58-Year-Old Man Injured in Faraday Avenue Traffic Collision [Carlsbad, CA]

Carlsbad, CA (January 14, 2023) – Just before 6 p.m. on Thursday, a 58-year-old man walking his bicycle sustained injuries in a Faraday Avenue traffic collision.

The authorities responded to the crash scene at the intersection with College Boulevard and located the man suffering from injuries.

Reports say the man was walking his bicycle through the crosswalk when a Lexus sports utility vehicle struck him.

Witnesses say the victim was communicative and alert when the authorities arrived.

The 59-year-old woman driving the Lexus was cooperating with the investigators.

In the meantime, officers are investigating the collision. They say drugs or alcohol were not considered as factors in the College Boulevard vehicle-bicycle collision.
