57-Year-Old Man Killed in SW 34th Street Accident [San Antonio, TX]

San Antonio, TX (August 9, 2024) – A 57-year-old man was killed in a SW 34th Street accident early Thursday morning.

The fatal accident happened past 1 a.m. near the intersection with Old Historic Highway 90.

Troopers said the pedestrian was attempting to cross the street when he was struck by a silver suburban traveling east. According to them, the man was trying to cross the street where there was no crosswalk present.

Sadly, the man was killed at the crash scene.

Investigators said the driver called for help and rendered aid.  

Meanwhile, the driver was not intoxicated when the accident happened and no charges are expected to be filed.

The San Antonio Police Department is investigating the fatal accident.
