Bellingham Collision Results in Fatality
Bellingham, WA (June 24, 2024) – A 57-year-old Maple Ridge, BC, was killed in a Sunset Road collision Sunday afternoon.
The authorities responded past 2 p.m. on June 23 to the traffic crash on Chuckanut Drive.
WSP officers said a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle ridden by the 57-year-old man was traveling south on Chuckanut Drive while a 2016 Honda CR-V driven by a 70-year-old Bow woman was traveling north.
Officers said the Honda turned left and struck the Suzuki.
Unfortunately, the motorcycle rider was killed in the crash.
Investigators said failure to yield the right-of-way was the cause of the accident.
