56-Year-Old Woman Struck by Vehicle on Melrose Drive [Carlsbad, CA]

Female Pedestrian Seriously Hurt in Rancho Santa Fe Road Traffic Accident

Carlsbad, CA (April 14, 2022) On Thursday, a 56-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured after the woman was struck by a vehicle on Melrose Drive.

Carlsbad police say that the Chevrolet truck struck the woman at around 5 a.m. on Rancho Santa Fe Road, near Lake San Marcos.

Rescuers took the seriously wounded woman to a hospital for immediate treatment.

Moreover, paramedics say that the woman sustained life-threatening injuries.

Police closed the southbound lanes of Rancho Santa Fe Road for multiple hours due to the incident.
