One Killed, One Injured in Interstate 5 Traffic Crash
Everett, WA (August 09, 2021) – On Sunday, a 56-year-old Marysville man dies, while a 64-year-old man, also from Marysville, suffered injuries in Interstate 5 traffic crash.
It was at around 4 p.m. when the authorities responded to the accident scene near 12th Street Northeast.
When they arrived at the scene, they located a wrecked Chevy Malibu and Yamaha motorcycle.
Reports said both the motorcyclist and the car driver were thrown from their vehicles.
Unfortunately, the Malibu driver, the 56-year-old man, lost his life at the scene.
On the other hand, the rescuers took the 64-year-old man to the hospital for treatment of injuries. Officers said they expect him to survive.
Moreover, investigators said the Malibu was southbound on the freeway at high speed when it rear-ended the motorcycle. The motorcyclist was ejected from his bike.
Then, the Malibu drifted off the roadway and rolled hitting two other vehicles. The Malibu rested on the embankment and ejected the driver.
Meanwhile, the two other vehicles did not suffer damage from the crash. They were driven from the crash scene.
The authorities are still investigating the Interstate 5 traffic crash.
