Fatal Pedestrian Crash at South First and East Virginia Streets
SAN JOSE, CA (October 23, 2019) – A 56-year-old man was killed in a pedestrian crash Wednesday morning in downtown San Jose, according to police.
The crash happened around 11:43 a.m. at the intersection of South First and East Virginia streets.
Police said the man was walking on the roadway when he was hit by a southbound 2008 silver Lexus.
Paramedics took the pedestrian to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Authorities did not release his name pending family notification.
According to police, the Lexus driver stopped and cooperated with the investigation.
