1 Dead in Montclair Pedestrian Crash on Ramona Avenue and Holt Boulevard

 
MONTCLAIR, CA (February 4, 2021) – Monday night, a pedestrian died in a hit-and-run accident on Ramona Avenue and Holt Boulevard.
 
The incident happened at around 7:35 p.m. on Ramona Avenue and Holt Boulevard. Both the Montclair police and fire departments responded after a report of a crash between an SUV and a pedestrian.
 
Responders took the 55-year-old pedestrian to a trauma center. However, he later succumbed to his injuries. At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed his identity.
 
Meanwhile, the SUV escaped before the first responders arrived.
 
On the other hand, an investigation determined that the SUV headed east on Holt Boulevard. Then, it entered the intersection of Ramona Avenue. The authorities also confirmed that the pedestrian didn’t yield the right of way. As a result, the SUV hit the pedestrian in the crosswalk.
