Jon Sherwood Dies, Officers Arrest Mia Perry in Desert Hot Springs Crash
Desert Hot Springs, CA (October 22, 2021) -On Thursday, 55-year-old Jon Sherwood dies, and officers arrested 23-year-old Mia Perry of Rialto in a DUI motorcycle crash at Pierson Boulevard.
The fatal crash took place at 10 p.m. near Highway 62.
Officers said Perry in a Toyota Solara tried to cross Pierson Boulevard.
However, she failed to yield to cross traffic, causing Sherwood in a Harley-Davidson to crash into her vehicle.
Unfortunately, Sherwood died at the scene.
The authorities arrested Perry on suspicion of DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter.
Moreover, officers booked Perry into the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio, and remain held on $50,000 bail. Jail records state she is expected to make her initial court appearance at the Larson Justice Center on Tuesday.
