Stockton, CA (September 23, 2024) – Susan Tapper, a 53-year-old unhoused woman, was killed in a pedestrian accident on Pacific Avenue Thursday night.

Troopers said Tapper was seen standing at the intersection with Yokuts Avenue when a vehicle struck her.

The woman was transported to a hospital where she was declared dead.

Meanwhile, the driver remained at the crash scene and cooperated with the investigation.
