Man Dead in Turlock Accident on Golden State Boulevard

 
TURLOCK, CA (December 3, 2020) – On Monday, a pedestrian crash on Golden State Boulevard killed a 52-year-old in Turlock, California.
 
According to Turlock Police Department, authorities responded to a crash in the 1100 block of N. Golden State Boulevard at around 5:21 p.m.
 
Reports revealed that a 1994 Ford van struck a 52-year-old Hispanic man trying to cross westbound North Golden State Boulevard outside a marked crosswalk.
 
Responders performed life-saving measures and were able to revive the pedestrian. Then, paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital. Unfortunately, he was later pronounced dead.
 
The driver involved sustained no injuries and remained at the scene to cooperate with the Major Accident Investigation Team, said Turlock Police Sgt. Michael Parmley.
 
Authorities do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
 
The crash closed the road for approximately five hours.
 
The incident is under active investigation.
