52 Freeway Fatal Crash Claims 49-Year-Old El Cajon Motorist’s Life [Miramar, CA]

Miramar, CA (August 26, 2022) On Friday morning, a 49-year-old motorist from El Cajon lost his life in a fatal crash on the 52 Freeway.

CHP says that the fatal collision happened at around 2:30 a.m. near Interstate 805.

Reports say that an eastbound Chevrolet pickup collided with a Honda sedan on the westbound side of the freeway,

Moreover, the Chevrolet was driving the wrong way on state Route 52 in the Miramar area.

Authorities say that the 23-year-old San Diego woman driving the pickup sustained minor injuries due to the collision. She was treated at a hospital for her injuries. Afterward, officials arrested the woman on suspicion of drunken driving.

Meanwhile, the El Cajon driver sustained fatal injuries, officials pronounced him dead at the scene.
