1 Dead in Phoenix Pedestrian Accident near McDowell Road
PHOENIX, AZ (August 1, 2020) – Wednesday night, a 50-year-old man died in a pedestrian crash near McDowell Road.
The authorities responded to a crash involving a hit-and-run red SUV. The incident took place near East McDowell Road and North 38th Street.
According to reports, the Phoenix police officers came to the scene around 9:30 p.m. after reports of an auto-pedestrian crash.
Moreover, some people at the scene said that the man attempted to cross McDowell Road when he jumped into traffic. As he walked across the road, an eastbound red SUV approached and failed to stop.
When the first responders arrived, they transported the pedestrian to a hospital where he later died.
