1 Dead in Manteca Car Accident on Highway 99
MANTECA, CA (February 17, 2020) – A 50-year-old man died in a car accident on Highway 99 on February 14.
According to reports, he was first ejected from his vehicle and then struck by another vehicle. He then succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
At about 4:50 p.m., the man initially crashed on northbound Highway 99 near the Lathrop Road offramp when his vehicle steered into the concrete center median.
“The 50-year-old male was unrestrained,” CHP revealed. “The force from the collision ejected the male from his vehicle and into the southbound lanes of SR-99.”
Another vehicle then struck the man.
Authorities are also urging anyone with information about the accident on Highway 99 to contact the CHP Stockton office at 209-938-4800.
