SAN DIEGO, CA (June 22, 2022) – Early Tuesday, a 50-year-old man suffered injuries in a pedestrian crash on 3600 54th Street.
 
The incident occurred at around 12:20 a.m. in the 3600 block of 54th Street. According to reports, the man tried to cross from the west to the east sidewalk outside a crosswalk. Then, a 33-year-old driver in a 2003 Mercury Mountaineer driving south in the No. 2 lane of 54th Street hit him.
 
Reports said that the pedestrian “ran in front of the vehicle.” As a result, the crash occurred and left him with serious injuries. He sustained a fractured right femur and right knee, rib fractures, and liver laceration. However, the authorities considered the injuries as non-life-threatening.
 
Furthermore, the authorities ruled out alcohol as a factor in the crash.
