5-Year-Old Killed, George Kokoteev Arrested in DUI Accident on Avenue O and 165th Street [Lake Los Angeles, CA]

1 Dead and 4 Hurt in Lake Los Angeles Car Crash near Avenue O

 
LAKE LOS ANGELES, CA (October 10, 2019) – A 5-year-old died while four others sustained injuries in an alleged DUI accident on Avenue O.
 
The incident happened on October 8 near Avenue O, west of 165th Street East at around 8:48 p.m. According to CHP, an eastbound 2006 Nissan Xterra on Avenue O veered into the westbound lane and hit the front end of a 2015 Nissan Altima.
 
The collision killed the 5-year-old female child. According to police, she was a passenger in the Altima.
 
Meanwhile, four other Altima occupants, two adults, a 1-year-old girl, and a 3-year-old boy sustained moderate injuries.
 
Authorities are suspecting alcohol as a factor in the collision. Authorities arrested Xterra driver 61-year-old George Kokoteev.
 
The crash remains under investigation.
