Injuries Reported in Union City Auto Accident on Highway 84 near Sunol
UNION CITY, CA (September 8, 2021) – Sunday morning, five people sustained injuries in a head-on crash on Highway 84 near Sunol.
According to Officer Sarah Lings, two vehicles collided head-on on Highway 84 near Sunol. A Chevy Tahoe suddenly turned towards the oncoming traffic. Then, it collided with a Dodge Charger carrying the family.
Reports revealed that Union City Police Officer Sarah Lings found two grade-school-aged children with no pulse inside one of the vehicles. Then, they found a third child in the back seat. Meanwhile, the mother was trapped on the front side of the vehicle.
Furthermore, officer Ling and another good Samaritan performed life-saving efforts. However, one of the children died at the scene.
Moreover, paramedics rushed the victims to a hospital with critical injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
