5 Hurt in Sylmar Car Accident on 210 Freeway
SYLMAR, CA (February 18, 2020) – Five people sustained injuries in a car accident on the 210 Freeway February 14th.
The collision between two SUVs injured two women and three children, including a 3-year-old boy, now in critical condition after being thrown off from his car seat.
The crash on the 210 Freeway happened at about 2:10 p.m. on the eastbound 210 Freeway near the northbound 5 Freeway transition road.
The responders took a 6-year-old girl, a 12-year-old boy, a 27-year-old woman, and a 42-year-old woman to the hospital in serious to fair condition. The young boy is the only one currently in critical condition, according to reports.
Officials temporarily blocked the eastbound lanes of the 210 Freeway at Yarnell Street while crews worked to clear the wreckage. They also cleaned six gallons of fuel spilled on the road.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the collision.
