5 People Hospitalized after DUI Crash on State Route 91 and Beach Boulevard [Buena Park, CA]

Injuries Reported in Buena Park Auto Accident on State Route 91 and Beach Boulevard

 
BUENA PARK, CA (March 31, 2021) – Monday, five people suffered injuries in a suspected DUI crash on State Route 91 and Beach Boulevard.
 
As the officers responded to a disabled car blocking lanes on eastbound State Route 91, they received another report. According to the report, two other vehicles rear-ended the disabled vehicle.
 
As a result, responders used the jaws of life to free at least three occupants from one of the vehicles. The occupants were a 21-year-old female, a 26-year-old female driver, and a 21-year-old male.
 
Also, two other patients from other vehicles, a 29-year-old female and a 22-year-old male, suffered injuries.
 
The crash led to the closure of the eastbound SR-91 just west of Beach Boulevard for almost an hour.
 
Responders took five patients to area hospitals. The authorities continue to investigate the crash.
 
By 2:47 a.m., authorities reopened the #4 lane. However, HOV through the #3 lane will remain blocked until further notice.
