2-Vehicle Collision in Union City Sends 5 People to Hospitals
UNION CITY, CA (July 17, 2019) – Five people were hospitalized after a bus collided with a car at Decoto Road and Alvarado-Niles Road early Tuesday morning.
The Alameda County Fire Department officials said the crash occurred at around 4:32 a.m. It involved an AC Transit bus and a car.
Photos from the crash site showed that the bus subsequently crashed into a tree at a gas station. On the other hand, the mangled car came to rest at the intersection.
First responders transported the drivers of both vehicles to local hospitals, along with three bus passengers. Officials did not immediately release information on the extent of their injuries.
Further investigation of the crash is underway.
