2 Airlifted and 3 Injured after SUV Crashes into House near 3rd Avenue
VICTORVILLE, CA (August 22, 2018) – Five people were injured early Wednesday evening after a vehicle crashes into home on 4th Avenue.
As per reports, the incident took place at about 6:20 PM at the intersection of Nisqualli Road and 3rd Avenue. An SUV was involved in a previous crash before it drifted off the roadway, before going down an embankment and slamming into the side of a home in the 12900 block of 4th Avenue.
Two truck companies arrived to extricate two people trapped inside the SUV. After the victims were freed, they were rushed to local hospitals and later airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and Loma Linda University Medical Center. Three other passengers, including a child in a car seat, were taken to a nearby hospital after suffering minor injuries. The house owner, identified as Guillermo Serratos, and his family were unharmed in the crash.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the collision and to identify possible contributing factors. No additional information has been disclosed to the public at this time.
