Injuries Reported in Fresno County Auto Accident on Floral Avenue and South Alta Avenue

FRESNO COUNTY, CA (March 25, 2024) – Sunday afternoon, 5 people suffered injuries in a startling rollover crash on Floral Avenue and South Alta Avenue.

The incident happened just after 4:00 p.m. at the intersection of Floral Avenue and South Alta Avenue.

According to reports, a Chevy Malibu failed to stop at a stop sign on South Alta Avenue.

A Malibu car got hit by another vehicle while crossing Floral Avenue, causing it to lose control and roll into a nearby canal.

When the police and fire department arrived, they found one person thrown out of the car. Meanwhile, the other four were still inside, wearing seatbelts. All five victims are in their 30s. Two of them were taken to the hospital by helicopter, and the other three were taken by ambulance. Thankfully, all are expected to survive.

Furthermore, the California Highway Patrol believes that speed contributed to the accident and is investigating if drugs or alcohol were involved.
