5 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Accident on Bixler Road [Contra Costa County, CA]

One Person Arrested in Contra Costa County Accident

 
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA (March 13, 2019) – A total of five people were injured in multi-vehicle collision on Bixler Road Wednesday night.
 
California Highway Patrol reported the accident occurred around 11:51 p.m. at the intersection of Bixler Road and Marsh Creek Road near Discovery Bay.
 
According to the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District, one vehicle ended up in a ditch with water and another sustained major damage.
 
The five occupants were transported to a nearby hospital for further medical evaluation. One person had to be transported by a helicopter to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek. The status of the victim who was airlifted has not been released at this time.
 
The suspect was arrested and taken to the Martinez Detention Facility around 4:30 a.m. Thursday. The reason for the arrest has not been given at this time.
 
There has been no further information released regarding the circumstances leading up to the incident at this time as the investigation continues.
