Injuries Reported in Apple Valley Multi-Vehicle Accident on Tomahawk Road near Pamlico Road

 
APPLE VALLEY, CA (January 9, 2023) – Sunday night, five people suffered injuries in a three-vehicle crash on Tomahawk Road near Pamlico Road.
 
The incident involving three vehicles occurred at 5:56 p.m. in the 19400 block of Tomahawk Road, between Pamlico and Choco Roads.
 
Moreover, officers revealed that the incident involved a silver 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan. Also, it involved an older model white Toyota Tacoma and a dark-colored 2000 Ford F250.
 
Firefighters with the Apple Valley Fire Protection District, AMR, and Apple Valley Deputies came to the scene. Upon their arrival, they found two people with critical injuries, and three others with minor to moderate injuries.
 

More Details on the Crash

 
Officers revealed that the first critically injured person came from the overturned F250 that had overturned during the crash. The impact left the truck with extensive damage and major injuries to the occupant.
 
Then, responders took the person from the F250 to St. Mary”s Medical Center in Apple Valley in critical condition. Eventually, they airlifted the patient to Loma Linda University Medical Center.
 
Meanwhile, the second critically injured person was a 60-year-old female. Responders transported her to St. Mary’s Medical Center in critical condition.
 
Moreover, the minivan and white pick truck had front-end damage and were blocking the westbound lane of Tomahawk Road. As a result, the crash shut down traffic in both directions.
 
Due to the limited information available, the Apple Valley Police Department continued to investigate the crash.
