5 Victims Injured after Minivan and Sedan Collided
WESTMINSTER, CA (February 19, 2019) — Monday evening, five people were hospitalized after a 2-vehicle crash on Beach Boulevard.
According to Orange County Fire Authorities, dispatch calls began around 10:22 p.m., regarding a serious collision in the area.
Due to the impact of the crash, medics and state troopers found four people suffering from serious injuries and one with minor injuries. Two victims were transported to OC Global Medical Center and two were rushed to UCI Medical Center. The final victim with moderate injuries was brought to Huntington Beach Hospital for further examination.
Furthermore, when police and firefighters arrived at the scene, the minivan involved was found resting on its side. Officials say the vehicle collided into a tree planted in the center divider. Firefighters had to pry open the doors to extricate the occupants.
Authorities are still investigating the crash.
