Pedestrian Struck and Injured by Car near Grand Avenue
LA PRESA, CA (March 22, 2019) – A 49-year-old woman suffered serious injuries after a pedestrian crash on Jamacha Boulevard, Friday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near Grand Avenue, at about 8:20 PM. The victim attempted to cross northbound on the road when an eastbound Ford Escape struck her.
Emergency responders transported the pedestrian to Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego with major but non-life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, the 68-year-old Ford driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Further details were not immediately provided.
