47-Year-Old Driver Dies in Two-Vehicle Crash on US 395 [Olancha, CA]

Olancha, CA (March 26, 2022) – On Wednesday, a 47-year-old 2021 Hyundai Elantra driver sustained fatal injuries in a two-vehicle crash on US 395.

The fatal incident took place at about 8:58 p.m. south of Ash Creek Road.

According to the investigators, the southbound Elantra collided with a Freightliner on the freeway’s east shoulder.

The Elantra driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle.

Responding officers declared the Hyundai driver dead at the accident scene.

Moreover, due to the impact of the collision, the diesel tank of the Freightliner ruptured and it spilled. 

Luckily, the 41-year-old truck driver from Van Nuys did not suffer injuries from the collision.
