The California Highway Patrol Merced Division said they received several emergency calls around 8:40 a.m., about a two-vehicle crash on Bloss Avenue and Palm Street.
When emergency responders arrived, they extricated the passenger from a 2016 Nissan Sentra.
Immediately, the rescuers transported her to Emmanuel Medical Center in Turlock, where she died.
The authorities withheld her identity.
Meanwhile, Olivera, the 2015 Chevrolet Sonic driver, incurred moderate injuries. Paramedics airlifted the Hilmar resident to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.

Moreover, crash witnesses saw Avila ran into nearby orchards. However, the search for the Delhi resident came up empty.
Authorities said Olivera was not under the influence of alcohol or/and drugs at the time of the crash.
Police are searching for Avila, who is a person of interest in the incident.
