43-Year-Old Maria Villa Dies in West 1st Street Wrong-Way Crash [Yuma County, AZ]

Yuma County, AZ (April 18, 2022) – On Saturday, a driver sustained injuries in a wrong-way crash on West 1st Street killing Maria Villa of Yuma, 43.

Villa was driving a westbound silver Lexus on the 2900 Block area. Suddenly, her vehicle drove to the center line and crashed head-on with a Chevy Trailblazer. 

The paramedics immediately arrived at the scene and declared Villa dead. 

Meanwhile, the Trailblazer driver sustained life-threatening injuries. Immediately, the paramedics took the driver to Yuma Regional Medical Center.

The authorities are investigating this fatal collision.
