1 Hospitalized in Elma Car Accident
ELMA, WA {March 6, 2019) – A 41-year-old man was injured Saturday evening, in a DUI Car Accident on Highway 8. His name has not been released.
Authorities received dispatch calls about the accident around 9:00 p.m. The 41-year-old Aberdeen man was driving eastbound on Highway 8, about two miles east of Elma. There, he veered off the roadway and slammed into a light pole.
Officials say the Honda Odyssey rolled about three or four times before coming to a rest. It finally came to a stop facing the opposite direction in a westbound embankment.
Reports indicate that the driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the collision. The driver was rushed to Summit Pacific Medical Center, in Elma following the accident.
