1 Hospitalized after San Diego Car Accident on Scripps Highland Drive
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 21, 2020) – A 40-year-old woman sustained serious injuries in a car accident on Scripps Highland Drive.
The February 19 accident involved an SUV that ran off of a Miramar Ranch-area street and into the side of an apartment building.
Shortly after 11:30 a.m., the female motorist lost control of the 2014 Range Rover while driving west at a high speed in the 10300 block of Scripps Highland Drive, revealed the San Diego police.
Medical responders then transported the woman to a hospital for treatment of life-threatening head trauma, stated Officer Tony Martinez. Her identity remains unreleased as of this time.
Martinez also noted that intoxication is not considered a factor in the collision.
It is solely a driver’s responsibility to always follow the traffic rules. Because of this, licensed individuals must always drive at the suggested speed limit to avoid any injuries and accidents.
