1 Dead in Auburn Bicycle Accident on 30th Street
AUBURN, WA (September 16, 2020) – Monday afternoon, a 4-year-old boy died in a bicycle crash on 30th Street in Auburn.
The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 1200 block of 30th Street SE.
According to reports, a 45-year-old woman backed out of a parking spot at the apartment complex. However, as she exited the parking lot, she struck the boy riding his bike.
Also, the Auburn police confirmed that the boy and the driver were residing in the apartment complex.
Meanwhile, the vehicle driver remained at the scene and helped with the investigation. Furthermore, officers confirmed that she didn’t suffer from impairment or acted on negligence.
At this time, the police do not suspect the incident as a crime.
