4 People Hospitalized after 4-Vehicle Crash on 70th Avenue in Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (July 4, 2023) – Tuesday evening, a Phoenix firefighter and three others sustained injuries in a 4-vehicle crash on 70th Avenue and Indian School Road.

The crash on 70th Avenue happened just after 5 p.m. on July 4.

Officers said they located a vehicle on the roadway and a Phoenix Fire truck just off the sidewalk, near an apartment complex.

Investigators say the fire truck slammed into a carport with cars underneath.

Emergency crews not involved in the crash took four people, including a Phoenix Fire Engineer, to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Further investigation to determine the cause of the crash is ongoing.
