4 Teens Hospitalized after Crash on Road 11 and Road P [Grant County, WA]

Multiple Injuries Reported in Grant County Accident on Road 11 and Road P

 
GRANT COUNTY, WA (May 18, 2021) – Monday morning, four teens suffered injuries in a crash on Road 11 and Road P in Grant County.
 
According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred at around 4:00 a.m. Moreover, the incident happened on Road 11-Southwest from Road P-Southwest.
 
Reports revealed that a 17-year-old Royal City teen driver dropped his phone. As he tried to grab it, the driver accidentally veered off the road. Eventually, the vehicle crashed into a utility pole and caused it to overturn.
 
The impact partially ejected a 16-year-old girl in the vehicle. Thus, responders airlifted her to Confluence Health-Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee, and then to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
 
Also, responders transported two other teens inside the vehicle, a 16 and a 17-year-old.
 
Furthermore, an ambulance transported two other passengers and the driver to Samaritan Health Care in Moses Lake.
 
The Grant County Sheriff’s Office said that they sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Also, authorities noted that the teenage driver took the family’s vehicle without them knowing.
 
At this time, the charges against the driver remain pending.
