4 Injured in Lacey Multi-Vehicle Accident
LACEY, WA (December 14, 2018) – Four people were hospitalized following a multi-vehicle crash between three semis, one box truck and two cars on December 12.
Trooper Johnna Batiste revealed that the vehicles blocked southbound lanes on 5 Freeway for around six hours. As a result, all the lanes were being diverted via Martin Way.
The Washington State Patrol revealed that the cause of the crash were the two semis in the back of the collision. The front semi and the box truck slowed down for traffic when a second semi crashed the rear of the box truck, pushing it into the front semi. The last semi then struck the third semi; leading the box truck to collide with the first semi again.
As a result of the crash, four people were hospitalized. Their condition and the extent of injuries are still unknown as of this time.
