SPOKANE, WA (May 4, 2021) – Monday afternoon, four people suffered injuries in a crash on Interstate 90 near Maple Street.
 
According to the state Washington Department of Transportation, the incident happened at around 1:30 p.m.
 
Also, they said that the accident took place in the eastbound lane of Interstate 90, near Maple Street.
 
Moreover, the Spokane crash led to significant traffic backups on Interstate 90.
 
The state police added that the incident happened when a Chevrolet Suburban slowed down because of traffic. Then, a Mercedes Sprinter struck the back of the Suburban.
 
As a result, responders transported a 28-year-old female driver of the Sprinter to Deaconess Hospital. Meanwhile, responders took the 72-year-old Suburban driver and the two passengers to Sacred Heart Medical Center.
 
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continue to investigate the I-90 crash.
 
Also, the Interstate 90 ramps in downtown Spokane reopened by 5:00 p.m.
