Drunk Driver and Four Pedestrians Hospitalized after Vehicle Crashes Outside of Bellflower Bar

BELLFLOWER, CA (July 13, 2018) – Five people were hospitalized early Friday morning following a suspected DUI crash on Woodruff Avenue.

According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the incident took place shortly after 2:00 AM near the intersection of Woodruff Avenue and Foster Road.

The suspected drunk driver was reportedly seen revving up the engine of his vehicle to show off in front of the club. Witnesses claimed that when the vehicle lost control, it struck four bar patrons – a man and three women – who were standing on a sidewalk. Several parked vehicles were hit, and one of them was pushed into the street.

The pedestrians and the driver were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. After receiving medical treatment, the driver was taken to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Lakewood station. He was later booked on suspicion of felony DUI.

No further details have been released to the public at this time.
