4 Dead in Dallas Multi-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 45 near Loop 12

DALLAS, TX (September 15, 2024) – Friday afternoon, 4 people died in a horrific 3-vehicle crash on Interstate 45 near Loop 12.

The incident happened at about 1:00 p.m. on Interstate 45, between Loop 12 and Simpson Stuard Road.

According to police, a northbound vehicle on I-45 crashed into another car. The vehicle then crossed the median, entered the southbound lanes, struck two other cars, collided with a guardrail, and overturned. 

Authorities reported that three occupants of the initial vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene, while one of the southbound drivers later died at the hospital. The condition of another southbound driver, who was also hospitalized, remains unknown. 

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
