4 Hurt in Granada Hills Train Accident on San Fernando Road
GRANADA HILLS, CA (August 22, 2019) – Four people sustained injuries in a train accident on San Fernando Road on August 20.
The collision left the SUV driver and three Metrolink train passenger with injuries.
The incident involving the Antelope Valley Line No. 216 train occurred at 2:00 p.m. in the 14800 block of North San Fernando Road, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey revealed.
Medical responders evaluated the SUV driver and three train passengers at the scene. Responders eventually transported them to area hospitals. Moreover, one of the injured passengers sustained ‘minor illness’ while the other two suffered injuries. Furthermore, two other train passengers received treatment at the scene.
As of now, the SUV driver’s condition and extent of injuries are still unclear.
According to Metrolink spokesman Paul Gonzales, a second SUV occupant escaped the scene.
