Four People Hospitalized after Three-Car Crash on Highway 49 in El Dorado
El Dorado, CA (June 3, 2022) – Sunday afternoon, four people sustained injuries in a three-car crash on Highway 49.
The three-car collision in El Dorado happened at around 1 p.m. on May 29, north of China Hill Road.
CHP said a woman in her 70s from Orangeville driving northbound on Highway 49 in a 2004 Toyota Avalon crossed into the southbound lane and collided head-on with a 2012 Acura TL driven by a Roseville man in his 60s.
Moreover, a woman in her 50s from El Dorado Hills was reportedly driving northbound in a Honda Accord and also struck the Avalon.
EMS then took four patients from the involved vehicles to Marshall Hospital sustaining minor to serious injuries.
CHP officials said driving under the influence is not suspected in the crash.
Further investigation to determine the circumstances of the crash is ongoing.
