Woman Airlifted after Three-Car Crash on Chuckanut Drive and Bow Hill Road in Skagit County
Skagit County, WA (June 9, 2022) – Wednesday evening, four people sustained injuries in a three-car crash on Chuckanut Drive and Bow Hill Road.
The three-car crash in Skagit County happened at around 6:09 p.m. on June 8.
Washington State Patrol said the collision involved a gray 2011 BMW 535, a green 2004 Chevrolet Silverado, and a 2021 Volvo XC40. The BMW pulled into the intersection and struck the passing Volvo, pushing it into the Chevrolet.
Paramedics airlifted a 49-year-old Bellingham woman to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with serious injuries. They also transported the other three patients to Skagit Valley Hospital with injuries.
Moreover, one person involved did not sustain injuries that require hospitalization. All five people involved in the crash were wearing seat belts at the time.
Police said drugs nor alcohol were not suspected but listed as a failure to yield right of way.
Further investigation is ongoing.
