4 Hurt in Apple Valley Six-Vehicle Crash on Kiowa Road
APPLE VALLEY, CA (December 17, 2019) – Four people sustained injuries in a six-vehicle crash on Kiowa Road on December 16.
The incident occurred on Kiowa Road and Ocotillo Way around 6:44 a.m. Firefighters from the Apple Valley Fire Protection District came to the scene and found multiple vehicles blocking the road. They also found a red Dodge occupant who needs extrication.
According to Tammy Jo Farrar-Pelletier, a woman drove a white van and followed too close to another vehicle that was trying to make a left turn. The woman tried to prevent a collision but she then struck a man standing outside his parked pickup truck. Responders took the man to the hospital.
Meanwhile, responders also took four people to local hospitals via ambulance.
Authorities shut down Kiowa Road while crews worked at the scene.
The CHP is currently investigating the collision.
