Two Airlifted after Vehicle Crashes into Tree near Apple Canyon Road
MOUNTAIN CENTER, CA (February 10, 2019) – Four people were injured Sunday morning following a rollover crash on Highway 74. The identities of the victims were not immediately disclosed to the public.
As per reports, the incident happened near Apple Canyon Road, shortly before 8:30 AM. Due to unknown circumstances, a vehicle crashed into a tree and overturned.
California Highway Patrol officers, more than a dozen Cal Fire/Riverside County firefighters from five engine companies, three AMR ambulance crews, and other emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene. Two victims were airlifted to an area trauma center, while two others were transported to hospitals with minor to moderate injuries. Further updates on their current medical conditions were not provided.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the collision and to identify possible contributing factors. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
