Police Seek Hit-and-Run Driver in Long Beach Crash that Injured 4 People
LONG BEACH, CA (August 29, 2019) – Four people suffered injuries in a hit-and-run crash near 2nd Street and Temple Avenue Sunday night.
According to the Long Beach police, a vehicle driven by a man was westbound on East 2nd Street. He went around a vehicle stopped at a stop sign and then struck a vehicle headed north on Temple Avenue.
The officers said the driver fled on foot after the collision and left his three passengers behind.
The crew of the Long Beach Fire Department took the woman, an 8-year-old boy, and an 11-year-old girl to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. However, the authorities declined to give the driver’s relationship to the passengers.
On the other hand, the medics treated the woman driving the second vehicle for minor injuries at the scene.
The police are now searching for the alleged hit-and-run driver. However, the investigation is ongoing.
