1 Airlifted after Two-Vehicles Collide near Highway 135
SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, CA (June 3, 2019) – Four people suffered injuries in a head-on crash on Harris Grade Road, late Monday afternoon.
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the incident happened shortly before 5:00 PM. Due to unknown reasons, a truck and an SUV collided head-on about 1½ miles from Highway 135.
Emergency responders extricated the occupants of both vehicles. One victim suffered major injuries and was airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. A ground ambulance transported three other victims to nearby hospitals with minor to moderate injuries.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the collision. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
