Injuries Reported in Lakeside Multi-Vehicle Accident on State Route 67 near Mapleview Street
LAKESIDE, CA (August 9, 2022) – Sunday night, four people suffered injuries in a DUI crash on State Route 67 near Mapleview Street.
The incident happened at about 11:25 p.m. on State Route 97 near Mapleview Street.
According to reports, a 51-year-old man made a U-turn and began heading south in the northbound lanes of State Route 67 near Mapleview Street.
Then, the driver struck his Toyota 4-Runner into a 23-year-old man driving an oncoming Toyota Highlander. Two people rode as passengers in the Highlander.
Meanwhile, the crash left an 18-year-old man riding in the front passenger seat with major injuries. Then, responders took him to a hospital.
Moreover, the Highlander driver and his 29-year-old back seat passenger sustained minor to moderate injuries. Both of them required hospitalization.
Also, the driver of the 4-Runner suffered minor injuries and went to the hospital for treatment. Moreover, he will be facing felony DUI charges upon release.
