2 Suspects Arrested After Crash on Southbound Interstate 29 in Kansas City

Kansas City, MO (October 4, 2024) – Police took two suspects into custody following a chase that ended in a crash on southbound Interstate 29 at U.S. 169 Highway. 

The incident began just after 5 p.m. near U.S. 40 Highway and Blue Ridge Cutoff, when Kansas City, Missouri, officers started pursuing a black Volkswagen Jetta in connection with a robbery and kidnapping.

The chase continued for several minutes before the suspects encountered stopped traffic on I-29. 

The Jetta collided with a black Dodge Journey and a blue Hyundai Santa Fe, causing the Hyundai to flip onto its side.

Both suspects were taken into custody and transported to a nearby hospital, along with the drivers of the Dodge and Hyundai. 

Fortunately, police reported that none of the four individuals involved sustained serious injuries.
