4 Injured in Olympia Multi-Vehicle Accident
OLYMPIA, WA (February 21, 2020) – Wednesday afternoon, four victims sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle accident on Delphi Road, around 3:00 p.m.
According to officers, the three vehicles involved in the collision were described as a Honda CR-V, a Kia, and a Saturn. Authorities suspect that the 17-year-old Honda driver caused the collision by driving across the center line in the 8000 block of Delphi Road.
As a result of the impact, the Honda overturned and land on its roof. Meanwhile, the Saturn landed on its side while the Kia went down a ditch. Medics transported the three drivers, a 17-year-old boy, a 42-year-old woman, and a 55-year-old woman, including one 5-year-old boy passenger to hospitals for further treatment.
The victims injuries were not described as life-threatening. However, medics say if they were not wearing seat belts at the time, the results would be very different.
Furthermore, the crash closed Delphi Road in both directions for two hours. However, the roadway has since reopened to traffic.
