Carjacking Suspect Arrested after Crash at Colfax Avenue and Riverside Drive in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, CA (August 16, 2019) – The police arrested a carjacking suspect after a pursuit ended in a crash at Colfax Avenue and Riverside Drive Wednesday night.
The suspect was driving a Toyota Prius when he hit a car at the intersection. That crash ended the police chase at around 9:23 p.m. The suspect also collided with a third vehicle.
Two women and three children jumped out and ran from one of the vehicles after the collision.
Emergency responders transported the suspect and a child to a hospital. Additionally, they put a woman who was carrying a child on her lap in an ambulance.
According to the police, the suspect was wanted for carjacking. They said he was in his car before the officers, with guns drawn, approached and arrested him.
