Driver Flees and Crashes at the Belmont Apartments in Power Avenue Arrested
Pittsburg, CA (May 25, 2020)– The Pittsburg police arrested a man who fled from the officers after driving recklessly in the area of Rose Ann Ave near W 17th Street and crashed at the Belmont Apartments in Power Avenue.
According to police, the driver threw a fully automatic submachine gun out the window shortly after he lost control and crashed into several apartments.
As a result, four families living in have to move out. No injuries reported.
Meanwhile, the driver was transported to the hospital and later to county jail after officials determined he doesn’t sustain any significant injuries.
