39-Year-Old Mistrang Ndikum Fatally Struck on 4th Street

1 Killed in Pedestrian Accident Near Indiana Avenue

Lubbock, TX (March 10, 2024) – 39-year-old Mistrang Ndikum was killed following a 4th Street pedestrian crash early Saturday morning.

Lubbock Police officers received the accident report at 2:28 a.m. on March 9 in the 3200 block of 4th Street near Indiana Avenue.

Responding officers located Ndikum in the roadway, suffering from serious injuries. The rescuers rushed him to University Medical Center, where he later died.

Officers said Ndikum was in the westbound lane of the road when he was hit by a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Gavin Gomez. Afterward, Ndikum was also hit by a second vehicle driven by 30-year-old Amanda Villarreal.

Troopers are investigating this fatal collision.
